Survivors of violence become leaders of change
The Equality Institute was engaged by Oxfam Australia to provide technical input into a synthesis report that summarises the issue of violence against women in the Pacific region.
The resource shares learnings from the ongoing programmes and initiatives led by Oxfam Australia and its partners in the Pacific for the prevention of violence against women. Case studies of Oxfam Australia’s programs and examples of what works to reduce rates of violence against women in the Pacific illustrate the power of local women to lead change within their own communities.
The resource also includes recommendations for the types of prevention programmes the Australian Government should invest in.
