The role of the Research Associate is to contribute to research projects in the aim to fulfil the goals of the Equality Institute in advancing gender equality and preventing violence against women globally. The range of duties includes, but is not limited to: conducting desk-based research, planning projects, data analysis, preparing publications and reports, stakeholder engagement, and participating in other research tasks that will promote the focus of the Equality Institute.
Our Research Associates work on a wide range of projects including comprehensive literature reviews, population-based prevalence studies, developing programming guidance materials, designing and implementing evaluations, and producing policy and advocacy papers. They also develop content and deliver trainings and workshops on key components of violence against women research and programming, with different stakeholders including policy-makers, practitioners and activists. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced researcher who is looking to further develop their skills, contribute to complex and varied projects, and shape the future direction of the organisation, while working in a small team environment.
The position is currently offered on a 12-month fixed term contract, working on a part-time basis (EFT 0.6) with the potential to become full-time pending work performance and negotiation of contract.
