We get it. Whilst it’s exciting to create real change to advance gender equality in your organisation, it can be hard to know where to start.

We’re here to help.

For over a year, we’ve been providing bespoke training and support to the Victorian Public Sector, including universities and local councils, on these new requirements.

Now, we’re thrilled to be expanding our offerings to make it easier for Victorian public entities, or any workplace, to access our expertise.

We’ve developed a new, comprehensive Training of Trainers package, which will give you everything you need to deliver Gender Impact Assessment (GIA) training within your organisation.

  • 100+ page facilitation guidebook, including comprehensive lesson plans, tips, resources, case studies, and more

  • Two-day workshop facilitated by EQI to run through the guidebook and training package

  • 2 hours* consultation time with EQI experts for check-ins and guidance throughout the process

  • Editable slide deck ready to adapt for your training

  • Exercise sheet to build your team’s facilitation skills

What it covers

Preparation

  • Introducing Gender Impact Assessments and why they are necessary.

Workshop delivery

  • Explaining your role as a facilitator: Including facilitation skills, principles of adult learning, and facilitation tips!
  • Preparing for training: What background knowledge is necessary? How do you choose participants? How can you create a supportive and safe training space?
  • Developing case studies: We guide you through the process, with comprehensive examples, from start to finish.
  • Conducting GIA training: Including a sample agenda, lesson plans, tips, and resources.

Monitoring and evaluation

  • Tools for assessing the impact of your training, and ongoing learning and adaptation as you deliver each training session.

Additional material

  • Case study examples: Four detailed samples to assist with your assessment.
  • Glossary: Key terms you will need to know throughout this process.
  • List of resources: External material to further understand your obligations and duties under the Gender Equality Act 2020.
