Respect@Work Package

Learn the foundations. Build equality. Create safer workplaces.

Why You Need It

Workplace respect doesn’t happen on its own — it’s built through knowledge, courage, and consistent action. From harassment to everyday bias, the risks are real, the impacts are serious, and the responsibility to act sits with all of us. Respect isn’t just a legal obligation — it’s the foundation of safe, inclusive, and thriving workplaces.

The Respect@Work Package brings together three essential courses — Preventing Sexual Harassment, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Foundations, and Gender Equality Foundations — to equip you with the skills, tools, and confidence to create meaningful change. You’ll learn how to prevent harm, challenge inequality, and build cultures where respect is the standard. Because safer, more equal workplaces don’t just happen — they’re made by people who choose to act.

We’ll Teach You

By completing the Respect@Work Package, you’ll gain more than just awareness — you’ll have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to create workplaces where respect is the standard. You’ll:

  • Understand the foundations of respect and inclusion — explore the language of DEI, the roots of gender inequality, and your legal responsibilities in preventing harassment.
  • Recognise power, privilege, and inequality in action — uncover how bias, stereotypes, and systemic barriers shape opportunities, experiences, and workplace culture.
  • Build confidence to act with courage — learn how to intervene safely, challenge assumptions, and speak up in situations that require care and leadership.
  • Support with empathy and accountability — apply trauma-informed approaches, foster belonging, and role model behaviours that create safe and inclusive environments.
  • Take proactive steps to drive change — access practical strategies, tools, and actions to prevent harm, challenge inequality, and create safer, fairer workplaces for everyone.

"Brilliant work, and so well delivered by Emma as our lead talker, and everyone who contributed to the conversations. Thank you EQI."

How You'll Learn

The Respect@Work Package is designed to be interactive, engaging, and grounded in real-world practice. You’ll learn through:

  • Guidance from leading voices — insights from thought leaders, advocates, and lived-experience experts shaping the future of equality.
  • Scenario-based learning — practical case studies and workplace examples that build confidence to prevent, identify, and respond to harm.
  • Experiential activities — interactive exercises that deepen your understanding of power, privilege, and inclusion in action.
  • Practical tools and frameworks — clear strategies and legal guidance to support respectful behaviour, meet obligations, and create safer workplaces.

What's In It

Duration: 3 — 5 hours

  • Preventing Sexual Harassment

Sexual harassment isn’t an individual issue — it’s systemic, undermining trust and safety in workplaces. Preventing Sexual Harassment equips you with the tools, confidence, and strategies to identify risks, intervene safely, support those affected, and role model behaviours that create a culture of respect and equity — meeting your Respect@Work obligations.

  • Gender Equality Foundations

Gender inequality isn’t just a statistic — it shapes everyday life, from pay gaps to whose voices are heard. Gender Equality Foundations gives you the knowledge and tools to challenge inequality, understand how power and privilege operate, and take action to create a more equal world — because change happens when people like you step up.

  • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Foundations

Inequality isn’t accidental — it’s built into systems, practices, and everyday interactions. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Foundations helps you understand these forces, recognise your own influence, and take concrete steps to create workplaces and communities where everyone belongs — because inclusion happens when we act intentionally.
