Group Leader Guide

This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to get yourself and your team set up on EQI’s learning platform, also known as the LMS (Learning Management System). 

Getting Started

  • Group Dashboard

    As a Group Leader, you’ll have access to the Group Dashboard, where you can: 

    • Upload learners 
    • See how many seats you have left (one seat = one learner) 
    • Check course reports 
    • Manage Group Leaders 
  • Course Access

    Learners can log in at equalityinstitute.org. Simply click the Login button in the top right corner of our website. Once logged in, hover over your account icon in the top right corner and select Your Dashboard. 

    • Courses will appear on Your Dashboard once logged in. 
    • Learners can pause and resume anytime, with progress saved automatically. 
    • On completion, learners can download their personalised certificates. 

Upload Learners

  • 1. Add One

    Add a single learner at a time by entering their first name, last name, and email address. You can either set their password or let them create one after logging in. 

  • 2. Add Multiple

    Add several learners at once using the Bulk add & invite users option. Enter their details (first name, last name, email) and choose whether to assign passwords or let them create their own. 

  • 3. Upload users (bulk upload)

    For larger groups, select Upload users. 

    • First, download the sample .csv file. 
    • Complete it with each learner’s details: 
    • user_email = learner’s email 
    • user_pass = password (leave blank to auto-generate) 
    • first_name = learner’s first name 
    • last_name = learner’s last name 

    Once your file is ready, upload it by selecting Choose File, then Add users. 

    Each learner will receive an email from workwithus@equalityinstitute.org with their login details. 

    Learners have 12 months from your subscription date to complete their courses, regardless of when they first log in. 

Manage Your Team

If you have admin access, you’ll see Manage Group underneath Your Dashboard when hovering over your account icon. From here, you can: 

  • View how many seats are in your subscription and how many are left 
  • Update or reassign seats 
  • View course progress reports 
  • Track individual learner progress 
  • Add Group Leaders 
  • Update or Reassign Seats

    • Learners who have started or completed a course can’t be removed. 
    • Learners who haven’t started a course can be removed, freeing up their seat for someone else. 

    Simply go to Enrolled Users, select the learner, and if they haven’t started, click Remove user(s). The seat will then become available to reallocate. 

  • View Course Progress Reports

    Go to Enrolled Users → Reports → Course. Here you can: 

    • Select which group and course you want to view 
    • Customise columns 
    • Export reports as .csv or Excel 
    • View completion percentage, enrolment dates, and completion dates 
  • Track Individual Learner Progress

    Go to Enrolled Users → Reports → Course, then select the User Report tab. Here you can:

    • See which courses a user is enrolled in, not started, in progress, or completed
    • View individual course status and progress details
    • Check the date a course was completed
  • Add Group Leaders

    If you’d like other team members to access the Group Dashboard, you can add them as Group Leaders.
    Scroll to the Group Leaders section at the bottom of the page, select Add Group Leader, and follow the prompts to complete the setup.
