NAIDOC Week, which celebrates the culture, history, spirit and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, takes place each year in July, and this year’s theme is: Because of her, we can, celebrating 'the essential role that women have played - and continue to play - as active and significant role models at the community, local, state and national levels.' You’ll find lots of wonderful events taking place across Australia in recognition of NAIDOC week. Here in Melbourne, to help you discover what’s on and how to participate, we’ve put together a downloadable interactive map, which you can view online or in Adobe Acrobat.

On the map you’ll find a selection of events taking place in Melbourne from 5th to 13th July, including exhibitions, workshops, talks, spoken word nights and more. There’s also a list of must-read books by Indigenous authors and must-browse shops featuring products by Indigenous labels. We’ve also included a list of what’s on below too.
